TEWKSBURY — Police Chief Ryan Columbus announced the arrest and charging of two individuals on drug distribution charges Friday.

Shaheed Williams, 38, of Beverly, was arrested and charged with distribution of a Class B substance (subsequent offense).

Angela Lemieux, 27, of Tewksbury, was arrested and charged with possession of a Class B substance with intent to distribute.

On Jan. 5, at about 12:50 p.m., Tewksbury Police, alongside the Middlesex Sheriff’s Office, were conducting surveillance on Ames Hill Drive when they observed what looked to be a drug transaction involving a man in a vehicle and a woman from the nearby apartments.

Officers intervened and stopped both individuals.

Lemieux was found with two grams of cocaine, divided into separate baggies, along with a digital scale.

Williams was found in possession of cash.

Both were taken into custody at the scene.

The two were arraigned Monday in Lowell District Court.
