Two-vehicle crash in Killington leads to DUI arrest

KILLINGTON — Vermont State Police responded to a two-vehicle collision at 9:48 p.m. on Killington Road near the Pickle Barrel amid snowy conditions, authorities said Monday.

According to police, Andrew Angelo Spilato, 44, from Annandale, NJ, was driving a 2020 Cadillac CT5 when he failed to yield the right of way upon entering Killington Road, colliding with a northbound 2009 Nissan Rogue operated by Amaya Joyce Bradford, 21, of Killington.

The front passenger’s side fender of Spilato’s vehicle and the passenger side doors of Bradford’s vehicle were damaged in the crash.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts and there were no injuries reported at the scene.

Troopers at the scene observed several indicators of impairment in Spilato’s behavior.

He was arrested and taken to the Vermont State Police Rutland Barracks for processing.

Following processing, Spilato was released with a citation to appear in Rutland Superior Court to answer to the charge of driving under the influence (DUI).
