State police seek help identifying suspect in Ferrisburgh hardware store theft

FERRISBURGH — Vermont State Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man accused of committing felony retail theft at Aubuchon Hardware on Monkton Road.

Authorities report that on consecutive days, Nov. 26 and Nov. 27, surveillance footage captured the suspect entering the store and leaving with two Stihl concrete saws without paying for the items.

The thefts occurred at approximately 1:28 p.m. on both days, with the male suspect clearly visible on the store’s security cameras.

The value of the stolen goods has prompted the classification of the crime as a felony.

Trooper Dobson at the New Haven Barracks is leading the investigation and urges anyone with information regarding the identity of the suspect to come forward.

Witnesses or individuals with knowledge of the thefts are encouraged to contact the New Haven Barracks to aid in the resolution of this case.
