Nashua woman arrested on felony theft charge

NASHUA — The Nashua Police Department has arrested Melanie Michael, a 44-year-old resident of Nashua, New Hampshire, on a felony warrant for Theft by Unauthorized Taking with Two Prior Convictions.

The arrest stems from a theft incident reported on December 11, 2023, at JCPenney in the Pheasant Lane Mall.

Nashua detectives, after furthering the investigation, identified Melanie Michael as the suspect. Due to her having two prior theft-related convictions, the latest theft charge was elevated to a Class B Felony.

An arrest warrant was issued and subsequently executed, leading to Michael’s arrest.

She has been released on personal recognizance and is scheduled for arraignment at the 9th Circuit Nashua District Division Court on February 14 at 2:00 p.m.
