Vernon man cited for possession of stolen property

VERNON — Vermont State Police cited a local man on Jan. 5 for allegedly possessing stolen property linked to a theft in Massachusetts.

Authorities were alerted by the Bernardston Police Department that Timothy Forrett, 40, of Vernon, might have items taken from someone in Bernardston.

Following an investigation, police found Forrett with the stolen property.

Forrett was cited, released, and is slated to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Windham Criminal Division, on Feb. 6.
