Boston police seek help identifying person of interest in Dorchester larceny

BOSTON — Detectives from the Boston Police Department assigned to District B-2 are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying an individual connected to a larceny that took place on Jan. 2 at around 7:49 p.m. near 519 Columbia Rd. in Dorchester.

The person of interest is a light-skinned male, possibly white or Hispanic, estimated to be between 25 and 35 years old, with a medium build.

He was last seen wearing a blue and black checkered jacket, a black hat, carrying a black backpack, and wearing work boots.

Witnesses observed the suspect riding a red bike and last saw him fleeing in the direction of Wheelock Ave.

The Boston Police Department is diligently examining the details of the incident.
