WRENTHAM — A rollover crash on Rt. 1A at the intersection of North and Winter streets resulted in no serious injuries, a miraculous outcome given the severity of the accident, Police Chief Bill McGrath said.
The vehicle involved in the crash overturned following a significant impact, but all parties involved escaped without critical harm.
The incident also took down a newly installed flashing light at the intersection, which had only been operational for a few weeks.
This is not the first time the light has required replacement, McGrath noted with frustration.
The Wrentham Police Department is calling for immediate action from the Massachusetts Department of Transportation to address the recurring issues at this intersection.
McGrath expressed hope for a swift and effective resolution to improve the safety of the area.
In the meantime, McGrath is urging drivers to exercise extreme caution when passing through the intersection on Rt. 1A.
