Providence woman arrested on multiple bench warrants after traffic stop

PROVIDENCE — Rhode Island State Troopers apprehended a Providence woman Wednesday afternoon following a routine traffic stop on Route 95 South.

At 1:20 p.m., troopers stopped a vehicle driven by Alexus Levy, 27, of 129 Cass Street, Providence.

A subsequent check revealed that Levy was wanted on two bench warrants issued by the Providence Superior Court.

The first warrant was for failing to appear for a restitution review related to an original charge of conspiracy from the State Police – Scituate Barracks.

The second warrant stemmed from a failure to appear for a restitution review on charges of accessing a computer for fraudulent purposes, originating from the State Police – Lincoln Woods Barracks.

Following the stop, Levy was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Hope Valley Barracks for processing.

She was later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institute – Women’s Intake center.
