MORRISTOWN — A local man was arrested on multiple charges including domestic assault, violation of a stalking order, criminal threatening, and operating without the owner’s consent after police responded to a trespassing complaint on Elmore Street, police said.

Joey Ewen, 46, of Morristown, was taken into custody around 1:40 p.m. on Jan. 2 after he was found at a business from which he was barred by a stalking order, according to the Morristown Police Department.

Police said Ewen fled the scene when officers arrived but was located and arrested without further incident following a search of the area.

The subsequent investigation linked Ewen to additional offenses.

Ewen was lodged at the Northeast Regional Correctional Center with bail set at $2,500.

He is scheduled to appear in Lamoille Court on Jan. 3 at 12:30 p.m.
