Swampscott sees string of car break-ins, police seek public’s help

SWAMPSCOTT — Multiple vehicles were reportedly broken into overnight in the Clarke School area, prompting an investigation by Swampscott Police.

Authorities are requesting residents with surveillance cameras to review footage for any suspicious activity.

The recent spate of break-ins occurred during the last night’s overnight hours, according to police.

As part of the investigation, the police are urging the community to assist by checking their personal surveillance systems and reporting any unusual or suspect behavior captured on video.

In addition to the Clarke School area incidents, police also disclosed that on Jan. 1, there was a report of a home and vehicle entry in the vicinity of Pinehill Road and Sargent Road.

The police are treating these cases with high priority and are seeking any information that may help resolve these crimes.
