Nashua man arrested for failing to comply with sex offender registry

NASHUA — A Nashua man has been arrested on a felony warrant for failing to comply with sex offender registration requirements, police said.

Wilfredo Cruz, 48, was taken into custody following an investigation by the Nashua Police Department’s Special Investigations Division that began on Aug. 22.

Detectives received information that Cruz had not reported an accurate residence as mandated by his sex offender registration.

Further investigation revealed that Cruz had a prior conviction for the same offense.

An arrest warrant was issued, charging him with Change of Registration Information; Duty to Inform – Subsequent.

In a separate case, Cruz was also charged with Tampering with Witnesses and Informants, a Class B felony.

He was held on preventative detention and arraigned on Dec. 29 at the Hillsborough County Superior Court – Southern District.
