WEST BOYLSTON — The West Boylston Police Department is actively investigating an act of vandalism at the town’s practice football field on Newton Street, reported on Dec. 30.

According to police, multiple vehicles were driven onto the field, leaving deep tire marks that may have damaged the grass and potentially compromised the field’s irrigation system.

The extent of the damage is still being assessed.

Chief Dennis Minnich stated that during the investigation, his officers received several videos that have been crucial in identifying at least two individuals believed to be involved in the incident.

The suspects are currently being interviewed as part of the ongoing investigation.
