Bennington man arrested for attempted burglary in Pownal

POWNAL — A Bennington man was arrested early Monday morning after allegedly trying to break into a Pownal residence, Vermont State Police reported.

Authorities said they received a call around 1:45 a.m. about a male who had broken a window and was attempting to kick in the door of a trailer belonging to 24-year-old Richard Sturles.

Upon arrival, troopers found that Robert Hull, 31, had broken the window and attempted to forcibly enter the trailer.

Hull was arrested without incident and taken to the Shaftsbury Barracks for processing.

Hull has been charged with attempted burglary, unlawful mischief, and disorderly conduct.

After processing, he was released on conditions pending his appearance in Bennington County Superior Court – Criminal Division to respond to the charges.
