Driver escapes injury after vehicle rollover in Duxbury

DUXBURY — A single-vehicle crash on River Road left a car totaled but the driver unharmed on Dec. 30.

Vermont State Police reported that Taylor Erdman, 43, was driving a 2023 Kia Soul westbound near the intersection of Hart Road during a rainstorm when the incident occurred at approximately 4:54 p.m.

According to authorities, Erdman lost control of the vehicle on the muddy roadway, causing the car to veer off the road and roll onto its roof.

Erdman, who was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, managed to exit the vehicle without sustaining injuries.

The vehicle was deemed a total loss and required towing from the scene.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash, and no further details have been released by the police at this time.
