Groton woman charged with vehicle theft, grand larceny

GROTON — A woman was charged with aggravated operating without the owner’s consent and grand larceny after allegedly failing to return a borrowed vehicle and taking money from the vehicle owner’s residence, police said.

Lacey Paye, 31, is accused of borrowing Marisa Levesque’s vehicle several weeks ago and not returning it, according to a report made to state police at 7:14 p.m. on Nov. 9.

During the same period, money was also taken from inside Levesque’s home.

Levesque, 41, of Groton, had her vehicle located by police in Whitefield, New Hampshire, on Nov. 6 and it was subsequently returned to her.

Paye was issued a citation on Dec. 29 and is scheduled to appear in the Caledonia County Superior Court – Criminal Division on Jan. 29 at 8:30 a.m.
