Nashua man arrested for Thanksgiving Day car wash vandalism

NASHUA — A Nashua man has been arrested in connection with the vandalism of a local car wash on Thanksgiving Day, police said.

John Barbuti, Jr., 36, was taken into custody on a felony warrant for Criminal Mischief, according to the Nashua Police Department.

The incident occurred at the Golden Nozzle Car Wash at 86 Broad Street, where employees reported on Nov. 24 that car wash equipment had been damaged while the business was closed for the holiday.

Video surveillance footage showed a male deliberately damaging brushes, hoses, and sprayers in the car wash bays, resulting in over $3,000 in damages.

Through further investigation, detectives identified Barbuti, Jr. as the suspect and obtained an arrest warrant charging him with Criminal Mischief ($1,500+).

Barbuti Jr. was released on Personal Recognizance bail and is set to appear in Hillsborough County Superior Court – South on Jan. 25 at 1 p.m.
