Dudley drug bust yields cocaine, heroin; one arrested

DUDLEY — In a coordinated effort to clamp down on local drug activity, Dudley Police and the South Worcester County Drug and Counter Crime Task Force made a significant arrest Thursday morning.

At around 9:50 a.m., law enforcement officers were conducting surveillance on Green Street when they spotted a vehicle linked to suspected drug transactions.

Subsequent to a swift investigation, the officers seized approximately 12.5 grams of suspected crack cocaine along with 2.5 grams of suspected heroin/fentanyl from the vehicle.

Jean Concepcion Perez, a 32-year-old Webster resident, was taken into custody and faces charges of possession of a Class A drug with intent to distribute and possession of a Class B drug with intent to distribute.

Following the arrest, Perez was processed and later transported to Dudley District Court for arraignment.

Sgt. Keith Remillard, Officer Tyler Smith, and Officer Luis Pacheco were credited with conducting the investigation that led to Perez’s arrest.
