Manchester police arrest suspect in armed robbery case

MANCHESTER — Police have arrested 26-year-old Estevan Perez Ortiz in connection with an armed robbery that occurred on Dec. 15 in the parking lot of 1279 South Willow St.

The incident took place around 7:30 p.m. when a woman was approached by a male wielding a firearm who demanded her wallet.

The suspect then fled on foot toward South Willow Street.

An investigation ensued, during which police reviewed surveillance footage and observed the suspect entering a silver mini-van.

Through the video evidence, authorities were able to identify Perez Ortiz, a Manchester resident, as the alleged perpetrator.

Following the issuance of an arrest warrant, Perez Ortiz was apprehended on Dec. 20.

He faces charges of armed robbery with a deadly weapon.

Perez Ortiz is scheduled to be arraigned in Hillsborough Superior Court-North today, Dec. 21.
