Wheelock resident reports theft of generator in grand larceny case

WHEELOCK — Vermont State Police are investigating a report of grand larceny and unlawful mischief after a generator was stolen from a local resident’s property.

Wade Chubet, 53, of Southington, Connecticut, contacted authorities on Dec. 18 to report the theft of a Generac Model: 0064380 from his residence on S Wheelock Rd.

The theft is believed to have occurred sometime between Dec. 15 and Dec. 18.

The investigation revealed that an unknown individual or individuals gained access to Chubet’s property, severed the electrical and gas connections to the generator, and removed the unit with an unidentified vehicle.

State Police are seeking assistance from the public.
