Roxbury man arrested, guns and drugs seized after search warrant execution

ROXBURY — Officers from the Youth Violence Strike Force arrested 22-year-old Shawn Walker on firearm-related charges at approximately 2:57 p.m. on Monday, December 18, after executing an ongoing investigation and arrest warrant at 50 Clifford Street.

Walker, a Dedham resident, was located inside the apartment and promptly arrested.

The premises were secured pending a search warrant.

Upon execution of the search warrant, law enforcement discovered two firearms: a Smith & Wesson M&P with one round in the chamber and nine rounds in the magazine, and a Glock with one round in the chamber and seven rounds in the magazine.

Additionally, three loose rounds of ammunition and four plastic baggies containing substances believed to be crack cocaine were found.

Walker is facing charges from warrants issued by Roxbury District Court for assault by means of a dangerous weapon, specifically a gun, and another from Dedham District Court for unlawful possession of a firearm.

He is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
