New Hampshire fugative captured with drugs, stolen gun in closet

CONCORD — Kerri Ann Yaqoob, a fugitive wanted for a parole violation related to a drug conviction, was arrested in Vermont by state police while hiding in a closet with a loaded stolen handgun and drugs.

Yaqoob, 33, was taken into custody Dec. 18 after being featured as the New Hampshire Department of Corrections’ Fugitive of the Week on Nov. 8.

Her parole violation stemmed from an initial conviction for possession of controlled drugs/fentanyl with intent to sell, which is a class A felony under NH RSA 318-B:2.

During the arrest, authorities found Yaqoob with 21.27 grams of Methamphetamine and 58.73 grams of Xylazine, along with the stolen firearm.

She is currently held on multiple warrants, including a New Hampshire fugitive from justice warrant and federal charges.

Yaqoob’s bail hearing is scheduled for today at 12:30 p.m. at the Windham County Courthouse.
