Driver rescued, declines treatment after Dunbarton crash

DUNBARTON — A motor vehicle collision Tuesday morning on Twist Hill Road resulted in the entrapment of a Concord woman, who was later freed with the aid of a passerby.

The Dunbarton Police Department responded to the incident near Ordway Road at approximately 8:55 a.m. The vehicle, traveling south on Twist Hill Road, suffered a mechanical failure that led to the driver losing control.

The car veered off the road and down an embankment, becoming wedged between trees.

A Good Samaritan assisted the adult female operator out of the vehicle before authorities arrived.

The operator was evaluated at the scene for a potential head injury but declined further medical treatment.

The damaged vehicle was removed by Skiff’s Towing and Recovery.

The Dunbarton Police Department acknowledged the assistance of the Bow and Dunbarton Fire Departments in the response to the accident.
