Suspect in custody after four stabbed at Boston hotel

BOSTON — A woman has been arrested following a stabbing incident that left four people injured at a Dorchester hotel on Sunday afternoon.

Boston Police officers apprehended Kourtney Godfrey, 37, of Roxbury, after being called to the Doubletree Hotel at 240 Mt Vernon St. The incident was reported at about 4:25 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers found four victims with non-life threatening stab wounds.

Security staff at the hotel had already detained Godfrey, who was still on the premises when law enforcement arrived.

Emergency medical services transported all victims to a local hospital to receive medical care for their injuries.

Godfrey has been charged with assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon, specifically a knife.

She is scheduled to be arraigned at South Boston District Court.

The circumstances leading to the stabbing are still under investigation.
