Ossipee man arrested on second-degree murder charge

OSSIPEE — Authorities announced the arrest of 38-year-old William Kelly in connection with the murder of Christine Falzone, 33, which occurred in Ossipee on Dec. 17.

Kelly has been charged with one count of second-degree murder for allegedly causing the death of Falzone recklessly through homicidal violence.

The Attorney General’s Office, along with State Police Colonel Mark B.

Hall and Ossipee Police Chief Donald Babbin, released the information earlier today.

An arraignment for Kelly is expected to be held on Monday at the Carroll County Superior Court.

Until proven guilty, Kelly is presumed innocent, as the charges against him are solely accusations.

The Department of Corrections has disclosed a record of Kelly’s previous convictions, including felony and misdemeanor charges ranging from assault and sexual offense to violations of probation or parole.

His criminal record dates back to 2004, with the most recent felony conviction being for domestic violence-related second-degree assault on Aug. 19, 2019.

Further details of the case are expected to emerge during the arraignment.

Authorities have not released additional information regarding the circumstances of Falzone’s death at this time.
