Charlestown man killed in hit-and-run, police seek information

BOSTON — Officers from District A-15 responded to a fatal hit-and-run incident in the early hours of Monday at the intersection of Alford St. and Dexter St.

Boston Police received a call at approximately 3:08 a.m. reporting a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.

Upon arrival, authorities found an adult male victim who had been hit.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The vehicle involved had fled the area, heading on Alford St. toward Everett before officers arrived.

The Boston Police Department’s Homicide Unit is now conducting an investigation into the circumstances of the incident.

Detectives are appealing to the public for any information that may assist in the case.
