CALAIS — A Georgia man was cited for home improvement fraud after an investigation by Vermont State Police into a complaint filed by an 80-year-old Burlington resident.
Officials said Donald Trombley reported on Nov. 14 that he had entered into a contract with 41-year-old Ryan Eaton for home improvements on his property in Calais.
Following a thorough investigation, authorities determined Eaton had committed the offense of Home Improvement Fraud.
Eaton is scheduled to appear in Washington County Superior Court on Jan. 4 at 8:30 a.m. to respond to the charges.
