CAVENDISH — Vermont State Police arrested a local man Saturday evening on allegations of domestic assault.
Police received an emergency call at 7:27 p.m. from a person claiming to have been physically assaulted at a residence on Knapp Pond Road.
Upon arrival, troopers interviewed several individuals at the scene, leading to the arrest of 46-year-old Jason M. Lee.
Lee, a Cavendish resident, was taken into custody and processed at the Springfield Police Department.
He was subsequently lodged at the Southern State Correctional Facility with bail set at $5,000.
The accused is slated to appear at the Vermont Superior Court, Windsor Criminal Division, on Dec. 18 at 12:30 p.m. to face the domestic assault charge.
