WOODFORD — A Woodford woman was charged with her second DUI offense after police responded to a call for assistance that led to the discovery of a vehicle crash early Friday morning.

Vermont State Police and Bennington Police Department officers arrived on Burgess Road around 12:52 a.m. following a report by Michelle Snow, 45, of Pownal, claiming she had been dropped off and her vehicle was stolen.

Snow was found near Stage Coach Road and taken to the Bennington Police Department for a medical evaluation due to her exposure to the cold.

Sgt. Justin Walker observed signs of impairment during their interaction and noted inconsistencies in her account of the evening’s events.

Authorities returned to the scene and discovered Snow’s 2020 Dodge Durango with significant damage from hitting two stone walls and a decorative fence.

The evidence suggested Snow was the sole occupant.

After processing for DUI at the Bennington Police Department, Snow was issued a citation to appear in Bennington County Superior Court on charges related to the DUI incident.
