BOSTON — Boston police arrested a man Friday in connection with a break-in earlier this week on one of the city’s most fashionable streets.

Wayne O’Keefe, 50, of Braintree, was taken into custody at about 4:17 p.m. after officers, acting on information from the Boston Regional Intelligence Center, spotted a vehicle linked to the Monday burglary of the Valentino Store at 47 Newbury Street.

Police located and stopped the car near 11 Melnea Cass Boulevard.

O’Keefe, who was driving the car, was arrested after officers found he was operating the vehicle without a license, had an unregistered motor vehicle, a number plate violation, and was in possession of class A and B drugs.

O’Keefe is facing multiple charges including the break-in at the Valentino Store.

He is scheduled to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court on Monday morning.
