Hudson man arrested for driver license fraud

NASHUA — A Hudson man was arrested on Dec. 14 after allegedly trying to use fraudulent documents to obtain a New Hampshire driver’s license, state police said.

Amitkumar Patel, 42, was taken into custody by the New Hampshire State Police Troop G Investigations Unit at the Nashua Division of Motor Vehicles without incident.

Patel has been charged with tampering with public records or information, a crime that suggests an attempt to alter or falsify official documents.

He is scheduled to be arraigned at the 9th Circuit Court – District Division – Nashua on Feb. 14 at 8:15 a.m.

Authorities are seeking additional information in the case and have asked anyone with knowledge of the situation to contact Detective Sergeant Craig Gagne.
