Camp Farwell vandalized, cattle gate stolen in Newbury

NEWBURY — Vermont State Police are investigating an act of unlawful mischief and petit larceny that occurred at the Camp Farwell property at 421 Camp Farwell Drive.

Between the evening of Dec. 15 and the morning of Dec. 16, unknown perpetrators removed signage at the camp, which was later found in the lake and entangled in nearby trees.

Additionally, a 12-foot green cattle gate was reported stolen from the premises.

The authorities have not identified any suspects at this time and are calling for the public’s assistance.

Trooper Evan Johnson from the St. Johnsbury Barracks is leading the investigation.
