Box truck hits tree branch in Sunderland

SUNDERLAND — Vermont State Police responded to a motor vehicle crash involving a box truck on Dunlap Farm Road near Sunderland Hill Road today at approximately 12:04 p.m.,

The accident occurred under clear weather conditions on a dirt road surface.

Leroy Brown, 31, of Albany, New York, was operating a 2020 Freightliner M2 when the top of his vehicle struck a low-hanging tree branch, becoming lodged.

Brown, who was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the collision, did not sustain any injuries, and there was no need for hospitalization.

The damage was confined to the top of the box truck, which remained operable after the incident.

The Arlington Fire Department was on the scene to assist with the removal of the tree branch from the vehicle.

No other property damage or personal injuries were reported.
