BRIGHTON — A man suspected of multiple package thefts was arrested Wednesday after a foot chase with police.

At about 1:30 p.m., on Dec. 13, officers from District D-14 (Allston/Brighton) apprehended 31-year-old Jeremie Rowell of Dedham.

Police were called to 1152 Commonwealth Avenue upon reports of an individual attempting to enter the building unlawfully.

Provided with a description of the suspect, officers spotted Rowell leaving the vicinity.

When commanded to stop, Rowell allegedly fled, leading officers on a chase before being handcuffed.

Investigations revealed Rowell’s involvement in a series of package thefts at the same address the previous day.

Rowell faces charges including attempted breaking and entering, receiving stolen property over $1,200, larceny from a building, and trespassing.

He is slated for arraignment at Brighton District Court.
