Impostor pharmacist steals cash drawer in Rindge, flees on electric bicycle

RINDGE — A man posing as a fill-in pharmacist at Hannaford supermarket made off with the cash drawer just before 9 a.m. today after his credentials were not properly checked by store employees.

According to authorities, the suspect was handed the cash drawer for the day’s operations under the guise of starting his shift as a pharmacist.

Instead, he took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene on an electric bicycle, heading in an unknown direction.

The Rindge Police Department has released a photo of the man and is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying him.

Officials have not disclosed the amount of cash stolen.
