MANCHESTER — At approximately 8:50 p.m. on Dec. 9, Manchester Police were called to 407 Prescott Street after reports of a fight involving multiple people.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a 39-year-old woman on the curb with a bleeding head wound.

The woman had sustained serious injuries and was quickly transported to Elliot Hospital for treatment.

Eyewitnesses at the scene informed the police that the incident occurred after a party at the residence escalated into a heated argument among several women.

The dispute moved outside where it became physical, culminating in the victim being struck, causing her to fall and hit her head on the curb.

Through their investigation, Manchester Police identified Ivanelis Marie Garcia Bonilla, 20, also of Manchester, as a suspect in the assault.

Garcia Bonilla had fled the scene before authorities arrived but was apprehended shortly thereafter.

Garcia Bonilla has been arrested on charges of Second Degree Assault and was scheduled for arraignment on Dec. 11.
