WEATHERSFIELD — A Springfield man was arrested Saturday morning following an assault at a Weathersfield residence.
Vermont State Police responded to a call at 10:57 a.m. reporting an altercation on Jason Smith Road.
Officers charged Anthony Rizzo, 52, with simple assault after their investigation into the incident involving 37-year-old Robert Penn Jr.
Rizzo was processed at the Westminster Barracks and subsequently released.
He is scheduled to appear at the Vermont Superior Court, Windsor Criminal Division, on Jan. 9 at 8:30 a.m. to face the allegations.
