Brighton burglary nets $400 in quarters

BRIGHTON — A burglary on Railroad Street led to the theft of approximately $400 in quarters from the home of 77-year-old Bernard Worth, Vermont State Police reported.

The incident, which occurred between Nov. 29 and Dec. 3, was reported to the VSP Derby Barracks on the afternoon of Dec. 3.

Upon investigation, authorities determined that the sizable collection of quarters was taken from Worth’s residence during the four-day window.

State Police have yet to identify any suspects in the case and are seeking assistance from the public.

Trooper Alford, who is handling the investigation, encourages anyone with information to come forward.
