South Burlington man arrested for aggravated domestic assault in presence of child

RICHMOND — A South Burlington man was arrested early Saturday morning after allegedly assaulting a domestic partner in the presence of a child.

At approximately 12:53 a.m. on Dec. 9, Vermont State Police troopers from the Williston Barracks responded to a family dispute at a residence on Kenyon Road.

The investigation revealed that Justin Distiso, 30, physically assaulted a domestic partner.

The incident occurred with a juvenile inside the residence.

Distiso was arrested and taken to the Williston Barracks for processing.

Following the processing, he was released on court-ordered conditions and flash cited to appear at the Chittenden County Superior Court on Dec. 11 at 10:30 a.m.

Distiso will face charges of 1st Degree Aggravated Domestic Assault and Offense Committed in the Presence of a Child.

The Vermont State Police has not disclosed the names of the victim or the juvenile, adhering to policies regarding the privacy of victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.
