Springfield inmate faces multiple assault charges after attacking correctional officers

SPRINGFIELD — An inmate at the Southern State Correctional Facility has been cited for multiple assaults on correctional officers, including using bodily fluids as a weapon, Vermont State Police reported.

The incident occurred around 6 p.m. on Nov. 28, when Miguel A. Perez-Agramonte, 19, allegedly assaulted three staff members at the correctional facility.

The victims, identified as Sean Doyle, 51, Bradley Lowell-Raymond, 42, and Joshua Coll, 32, are all correctional officers at SSCF.

Following the investigation, Perez-Agramonte was issued a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Windsor Criminal Division, on Jan. 9 at 8 a.m. to face charges related to the assaults.

He remains incarcerated at SSCF pending his court appearance.

The Vermont State Police have not released further details about the nature of the assaults or the condition of the officers involved.
