Waterbury woman arrested on multiple charges after domestic dispute

WATERBURY — A domestic dispute late Tuesday night led to the arrest of a local woman on several charges, including domestic assault and resisting arrest.

Vermont State Police responded to a report of the incident on N. Main Street at approximately 10:27 p.m. Jennifer Ruest, 45, of Waterbury was taken into custody following the altercation.

Authorities say Ruest provided false information to law enforcement during the incident, which also involved unlawful mischief.

A juvenile was reportedly present at the residence when the dispute occurred.

After being processed at the Berlin Barracks, Ruest was released with a citation to appear in Washington County Superior Court-Criminal Division on Dec. 6 at 12:30 p.m.
