Worcester police seize massive fentanyl, cocaine stash, one arrested

WORCESTER — Police recovered a substantial quantity of fentanyl and cocaine on Dec. 4 after executing a search warrant on Elliot Street, leading to the arrest of a male suspect on trafficking charges.

The operation involved officers from the Worcester Police Department’s Operations Division, Neighborhood Response Team, and Vice Squad following an investigation into narcotics activity.

During the search, police seized over 2,000 grams of pills laced with fentanyl and more than 100 grams of cocaine and cocaine-laced pills.

The suspect, whose identity has not been disclosed, is facing charges of Trafficking in Fentanyl over 200 grams and Trafficking in Cocaine over 200 grams.

The arrest marks a significant blow to the local drug trade, with the street value of the confiscated substances amounting to a considerable sum.

Worcester police continue to investigate the case, and further details will be released as the investigation unfolds.

The suspect is currently awaiting arraignment, and authorities are urging anyone with information related to the case to come forward.
