MANCHESTER — A routine traffic stop turned into a pursuit and subsequent hit-and-run incident on Dec. 5 after a driver fled from law enforcement and later crashed into another vehicle.

At around 8 a.m., a Manchester Police Officer noticed a car failing to stop at a four-way intersection on Wilson St.

The officer initiated a stop using emergency lights and siren.

However, as the officer attempted to approach the vehicle, the driver accelerated away, prompting a brief chase.

The pursuit was quickly terminated due to safety concerns.

Shortly thereafter, another Manchester officer, while on patrol near Queen City Avenue, narrowly avoided a collision with the same vehicle, which was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes.

The car then collided with another vehicle and fled the scene.

The suspect vehicle is a 2022 black Nissan Altima, occupied by two individuals at the time of the incidents.

The driver was observed wearing dark clothing.

Manchester Police are now seeking assistance from the public in identifying the driver involved in these events.

Witnesses or anyone with information are encouraged to contact the Manchester Police Department at 603-668-8711.
