Man arrested on multiple charges in Rockingham

ROCKINGHAM — A New York man was arrested early Monday morning on an active warrant after being stopped by Vermont State Police.

Darren Lloyd, 34, of Staten Island, was a passenger in a vehicle that was assisted by a trooper on VT Route 103 at 12:31 a.m. due to difficulty traveling up a snow-covered hill.

During the encounter, Lloyd was found to have an outstanding warrant for charges including 1st Degree Unlawful Restraint, Assault & Robbery, two counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, and Criminal Threatening.

Lloyd was taken into custody without incident and processed at the Springfield Police Department.

He was subsequently lodged at Southern State Correctional Facility and is being held without bail.

Lloyd is scheduled to appear in Vermont Superior Court Windham Criminal Division later the same day at 12:30 p.m.
