AUBURN — Detectives from the Auburn Police Department, in collaboration with the United States Marshal Service and the Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section, arrested a man on Tuesday morning on multiple outstanding warrants.

Jason Rodney Clay, 39, originally from California, was taken into custody at a residence in Auburn on Dec. 5.

Clay is wanted on several warrants, including firearm-related offenses issued by the U.S. Marshal Service in Virginia and burglary-related charges from Ohio.

Additionally, Auburn detectives are set to file charges against Clay for Breaking and Entering into a Motor Vehicle in the Nighttime.

This charge stems from an incident that transpired in November.

Authorities did not release further details on the execution of the arrest warrant.

The collaborative effort underscores the ongoing commitment of local and federal law enforcement agencies to apprehend individuals facing serious charges.

Clay is expected to face extradition to Virginia and Ohio to address the outstanding warrants.

The investigation is ongoing, and further legal proceedings are anticipated.
