DERBY — Fred’s Energy is conducting a toy drive to support local children’s charities, including the St. Johnsbury Fire Department’s “Kingdom Santa Fund” and the NEKCA and Northpoint “Toys for Kids” programs. The community is invited to participate by donating new, unwrapped toys, with a chance to win various prizes.

Donations can be made at Fred’s Energy locations in Lyndonville until Dec. 8 and in Derby through Dec. 18. The Fred’s Energy Richford office is collecting toys for “Operation Happiness” and the drawing at that office takes place at 3:00 pm Wednesday, December 13.

Participants in this charitable drive will be entered to win gift certificates from Fred’s Energy, valued at $100, $50, or $25, among other items. A total of 10 winners will be selected at each office location.

The drawings are scheduled for 4 p.m. on Dec. 8 in Lyndonville and Dec. 18 in Derby. Winners will be notified and do not need to be present to win.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of Fred’s Energy, emphasizing the company’s longstanding commitment to community involvement and support. All toys collected during the drive will be distributed locally, ensuring that the holiday spirit reaches children in need within the community.
