JOHNSON — An early morning burglary at River Valley Store was interrupted, leading to a statewide search for two suspects, the Lamoille County Sheriff’s Department reported Sunday.

Authorities were called to the scene at approximately 6:01 a.m. after the store’s burglary was disrupted.

The suspects, a male and female, fled in a white Dodge 5500 dump truck with short stakes and lettering on the sides, which was later confirmed to have been stolen.

Surveillance footage from the River Valley Store matched the stolen truck, last seen departing from the store.

The truck had been reported stolen at 9:06 a.m., and the individuals suspected of the theft have been identified as Dilan Jiron, 27, of North Hyde Park, and Amanda Laraway, 40, of Johnson.

More than 50 cartons of cigarettes, over 60 vape cartridges, and approximately $450 in coins were among the items reported stolen.

The total loss, including damages to the store, is estimated to exceed $12,000.

The Lamoille County Sheriff’s Department has issued arrest warrants for Laraway and Jiron and alerted law enforcement statewide to be on the lookout for the stolen truck.

The department urges anyone with information about the crime or the suspects’ whereabouts to contact them at 802-888-3502.
