South Royalton man arrested for DUI, leaving scene of Bethel crash

BETHEL — Vermont State Police arrested a 26-year-old South Royalton man Friday evening for his alleged involvement in a hit-and-run incident and driving under the influence.

Authorities responded to a two-vehicle crash at around 5:30 p.m. on S Main Street.

Witnesses reported that one of the drivers had fled the scene on foot.

State police located Andrew Rogers a short distance away, walking along Route 107.

During the interaction, troopers noted signs of impairment.

Rogers was taken into custody on suspicion of DUI and leaving the scene of an accident (LSA).

After processing at the Royalton Barracks, he was released with a citation to appear in court to face the charges.”,Bethel
