Poultney home burglary under investigation, police seek information

POULTNEY — A burglary at a Poultney residence is currently under investigation by the Vermont State Police, with authorities seeking assistance from the public.

The incident was reported on Dec. 2 at around 12:33 p.m. at a home located at 360 VT RT 30 S.

According to police, the homeowner, 70-year-old Alan Burnham, discovered that forced entry had been made into his residence and several items were missing.

Investigators have determined that the burglary could have occurred at any time between Nov. 14 and the date it was reported.

As of now, no suspects have been identified, and the Vermont State Police – Rutland Barracks is continuing their investigation into the matter.

The police are asking anyone who might have information related to the burglary to come forward.
