Goffstown man arrested in stabbing death of mother

GOFFSTOWN — Attorney General John M. Formella, State Police Colonel Mark B.

Hall, and Goffstown Police Chief Eric Sereno announced the arrest of Thomas Humphrey, 47, for the murder of his mother, Linda Tufts, 70, in their home on Nov. 28.

Humphrey has been charged with one count of second-degree murder for allegedly killing Tufts by stabbing her.

An arraignment is expected to be scheduled for Dec. 4 at the Hillsborough County Superior Court – Northern District in Manchester.

Authorities have not released further details about the circumstances leading to the arrest or the investigation that followed the incident.
