St. Albans police seek suspect in Family Dollar store robbery

ST. ALBANS — Saint Albans Police Department is investigating a robbery that occurred at the Family Dollar store on Lake Street.

At about 7:13 p.m. on Nov. 26, officers were dispatched to the store located at 105 Lake Street after receiving a report of a robbery in progress.

A male suspect, described as wearing a dark waist-length jacket or shirt, a light-colored hooded sweatshirt, a black face mask, jeans, and dark sneakers, entered the store at approximately 7:11 p.m.

The suspect demanded cash from the store employees.

While a black and silver revolver was visible in the suspect’s waistline, it was not drawn or pointed, and no one was threatened or harmed during the incident.

The perpetrator left the Family Dollar with an undetermined amount of cash and goods shortly after at around 7:12 p.m.

The Saint Albans Police Department has released photographs of the suspect and is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the individual.
